At Teen Challenge of Arkansas one question that we get asked frequently is why they should select a religious recovery program. There are several reasons we are different then traditional drug treatment centers and we believe these differences are some of the biggest reasons our program works so well. We find ways to heal through Christ that other addiction treatment programs cannot offer.
Generally the biggest difference between a traditional addiction treatment program and a Christian treatment center is the Christ-focused perspective. We refer to this as the “Jesus Factor”. Our Christian rehab program aims to give a spiritual guidance through the power of the Holy Spirit and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Through Christ individuals are able to form a stronger connection to their faith which strengthens their road to recovery. We provide a healing environment that is rooted in faith and Christ. Through daily use of teachings from the Bible we empower our students with God’s knowledge and spiritual healing.
Over the years a number of studies have been done on Adult and Teen Challenge USA. Through these studies we have learned from our students that they feel their faith in God is the number one reason they are able to maintain their sobriety.
Typically our Christian recovery programs last 12-18 months which means our students have enough time to renew their belief in God and strengthen their faith. This combination of time and faith based teaching is what makes the difference in our program.
Through faith our students re-fortify themselves with the strength and compassion of Christ. A stronger sense of self and faith instills a strong will and a stronger will is a powerful tool in the battle against addiction. If you or or a loved one is battling with addiction a Christian treatment program may be the answer. Contact Teen Challenge of Arkansas today to begin the healing process.
